Cassidy Meyer – Competition Team Coach, Routesetter, Customer Service Manager
Cassidy Meyer began climbing in 2016 as part of the Ascension Competitive Rock Climbing Team. Born and raised in Alaska, she has a background in dog mushing and is an avid backpacker, and she enjoys climbing outdoors. She is currently studying English with a minor in Creative Writing at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and is a USAC collegiate climber. She has been working at Ascension since 2023 as part of the route setting team and coaches the Youth Competitive Climbing team. Cassidy’s love for climbing has only grown during her time at Ascension, and the wonderful community is one of her favorite aspects of the gym. When she’s not at Ascension, Cassidy is often writing or exploring Alaska with her partner, Elliott, and Astra, their enigmatic puppy.
