Lacey Demers – Youth Coach
Lacey Demers (she/her)
Lacey started climbing in 2017 at age 9, joining the Youth Club at Ascension, and later joined the Team Ascension Competition Team in 2020. She was born and raised in Fairbanks, and along with climbing, she has been involved in music for most of her life, especially singing and piano. She is currently studying Political Science at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, plans to minor in Pre-Law, and is a part of the university’s Choir of the North. She started working at Ascension in 2024 as a Junior Coach, and now coaches the Youth Club and Recreational Team on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Lacey loves the community aspect of climbing and always brings a positive attitude to the gym, whether it’scoaching, team practice, or competition. Outside of Ascension, she enjoys camping, hiking, walks with friends, and travel.
