What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to fetch your profile image. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract location data from uploaded images.
Contact Forms & Newsletter Sign-Ups
When you submit a form through our website — including contact forms, program inquiries, waiver forms, and newsletter sign-ups — we collect the information you provide.

This information is used only to respond to your message, provide customer service, or send you the newsletter you requested.
Newsletter subscription data is securely processed through Brevo. Program registrations, waivers, and climbing gym usage data are managed through Rock Gym Pro (RGP), which uses SendGrid for automated emails (e.g., receipts, billing updates, visit summaries).
We do not sell or share your contact information with third-party marketers.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies for your convenience. These last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we set several cookies to save your login information and display preferences. Login cookies last for two days; screen options cookies last for a year. Selecting “Remember Me” keeps your login for two weeks.
If you edit or publish an article, a cookie will be stored in your browser indicating the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.

- Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely.

- Contact form submissions may be retained for customer service and operational purposes.
- RGP customer data (waivers, purchases, check-ins) is retained according to industry, insurance, and liability standards.
Your rights over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you may request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you.
You may also request that we erase any personal data we hold, except information we must retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
