COVID-19 Policies

COVID-19 Policies – Updated 3/27/2022

COVID-19 has left us with new choices regarding our safety and the safety of others. Our new policies serve this goal. The following policies are subject to change and evolve as time goes on.

  • Travel: If you have traveled out of state in the last 2 weeks, please complete the 14-day quarantine period required by Alaska health mandates before climbing with us.
  • Health: If you have had a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or have been in contact with someone with these symptoms, please stay home and observe a 14-day quarantine period before climbing with us.
  • Masks are now optional
  • Hygiene: Everyone will be required to sanitize their hands upon entering and before exiting the building. Hand washing will also be available.

Do not touch your face in the gym.

There are no longer capacity restrictions in the gym, but please continue to social distance with members not in your household.

Do not share cubbies, chalk bags, water bottles, etc, outside of family units.

All climbers under the age of 10 will be required to have a one-to-one adult supervision ratio.

Risk Management

Climbing is full of inherent risks as we all know well. This is a new one for all of us to consider. Due to the many unknowns with COVID-19 we will be treating our sport with new respect and urge you to join us. A climbing gym is full of shared contact surfaces, many of which cannot be sanitized on any regular schedule.

Please act with deliberate care.

Be Well, Reach High, & Climb Hard!
